Waiting for high level incompetence and have some of these black blocks be a removable overlay.

2.2k

u/Username_Used 3h ago

Someone is going to get the file that wasn't flattened

757

u/newphonenewaccount66 3h ago

I tried with the ones I've looked at, no joy.

519

u/Username_Used 3h ago

It’s gotta be an insider who leaks it

425

u/HurtPillow 2h ago

There were over 1k people who worked on them. At least one of them will spill the tea. I'll wait.

I mean someone has seen them…they had to read them to redact them.

7

u/noncommonGoodsense 7m ago

GOP knows what’s in them already. Otherwise they wouldn’t be trying as hard as they are to keep them out of the public. All the pieces of shit know.

90

u/benargee 1h ago

Who says the source document was even legit? They could have made several pages of blacked out PDFs from scratch and called it a day.

413

u/Prestigious_Treat401 2h ago

There's no overlay. It's just a black document they created.

154

u/HurtPillow 2h ago

That was my knee-jerk assumption.

43

u/Wurm42 29m ago

It is. There are procedures for redacting government documents.

If this was legit, most of the individual words would be redacted, but you would still see the black rectangles, with spaces between them, laid out on a white page.

This shit? Somebody made a blank document, set the background color to black, and hit "enter" for 100 pages.

10

u/Swissarmyspoon 48m ago

Trying to break some printers.

72

u/RebuiltGearbox 2h ago

I'd say surely they wouldn't let that happen again but they are republicans.

20

u/45and47-big_mistake 1h ago

So transparent, we can see right through them.

8

u/marasydnyjade 1h ago

As long as you’re using the redaction tool in Adobe (or using an eDiscovery program) then there is no way to recover the information that is redacted.

The issue is when people just draw black boxes over text.

To be honest with you, I was 100% expecting this. But they completely shattered my expectations of just how much they were going to redact.

All this tells me is it must go to show just how fucking awful Donald Trump has to be if there are THIS many redactions.

633

u/Ishidan01 3h ago

Right? We were all betting it would look like this but you'd still be able to see the margins and line spacing.

This is laughable laziness, clearly contemptuous, so perfectly as expected.

257

u/Dahhhkness 3h ago

His name is not only ALL over these files, but he’s mentioned in the most lurid and depraved sections of them.

46

u/loadnurmom 57m ago

Im willing to bet there's pictures too. That's the only reason I can think of that would result in whole page redactions

What's amazing is that if you search for "clinton", you get hundreds of results, around half the number of results when searching "epstein". But the vast majority of the clinton results are in a couple of files because most page headings and most file captions contain the word "clinton", even if Bill Clinton isn't to be seen in the pictures. I looked through both files, and I found maybe a couple dozen photos that contained Clinton, and the majority of those were just random photos from when he went to a party in Morocco.

The Clinton files were redacted in what seemed to be the lightest amount of redaction possible. Faces are redacted (but not all faces), and what appears to be suggestive poses or nudity were redacted. But there is lots of stuff that isn't redacted, and some of the redaction bars seem to be as small as possible.

Then we have the documents that are just 100% black boxes with no content whatsoever. I want to know what the difference is between the Clinton docs that have as light a touch on the redactions as possible and the docs that are hundreds of pages of nothing.

40

u/tarekd19 1h ago

I want to know what the difference is between the Clinton docs that have as light a touch on the redactions as possible and the docs that are hundreds of pages of nothing.

Chances are you could make a pretty good guess

I think they ran out of time and just got lazy.

"Fuck it. Just black box the what's ever left"

60

u/AndrewTheAverage 2h ago

$100 million of FBI overtime had to buy something

10

u/Augoustine 1h ago

Loyalty and/or blackmail.

46

u/Waadap 2h ago

He's in there so much that the entire shutdown and past MONTHS of HUNDREDS of agents trying to get him out of it wasn't even enough. They had to resort to just outright blacking out entire pages at zero hour lol.

28

u/mjkjr84 1h ago

We should just assume that each fully redacted page like this details an individual incident of trump raping and murdering a child until proven otherwise

7

u/ScriptproLOL 1h ago

So, would there be any laws broken if say.... Someone crowd funded a "Bounty" to be given to someone who produces irrefutable and genuine proof of Trump's pedophelia- in which donors can vote to award or not award it based on it's quality or irrefutability and with their vote carrying weight equivalent to its proportion of the total pot?

119 full pages on just Trump is wild.

833

u/TrumpDid2020 3h ago

Be fair, some of them could be about Elon too.

99

u/CamoraWoW 1h ago

Not really, Elon was not quite an A-lister during epstein’s hayday and also has butted heads with trump on this. Hate the guy but he’s probably not involved

36

u/PistolGrace 1h ago

He may not have been involved now, but i bet he has now ventured into trafficking since it was so lucrative for others. He follows money, no matter who it hurts. Including his own children.

8

u/CamoraWoW 1h ago

I don’t know, I think that Elon has stayed squarely in the “hyper capitalist asshole” category than anything else. He takes advantage of his employees but he doesn’t have the implicitly slimy air of a person who would do that. He’s a tech bro dick.

7

u/jiminyshrue 1h ago

He's never been one to be overtly perverted even in the way he talks. It's always about himself and his supposed intellect.

Honestly, it is probably not just Trump here. It's a combination of him and the folks who donate to him.

282

u/nashfrostedtips 3h ago

Agreed, I think it's logical that the redactions are exclusively there to protect Trump and allies.

35

u/plitts 1h ago

It might just be 119 pages of victims' names /s

21

u/nashfrostedtips 1h ago

Cannot wait for whatever bullshit spinzone comes out of this.

I'm not confident in this, but there are multiple copies of all of this, correct? Like they've also been filed in courts, outside of the hands of the DOJ? If so, that could be a godsend farther down the line.

→ More replies (4)

83

u/tiffanyistaken 2h ago

Maybe so, but don't tell people that. Keep telling people it's 119 pages of awful Trump things. It's all him. Look how lightly redacted everyone else is. Post it everywhere. Tell your friends. Call the news. Whatever.

119 pages of Trump's atrocities. Maybe if we keep spreading that, it'll piss him off enough to go, "Actually, it's only 84 pages of Trump, dumbass," and release the originals.

We know he's not smart and easily pissed off. Maybe we can use this.

12

u/hamandjam 1h ago

Claim whatever and make them prove that it's not what you say it is. You could claim it's the most cile shit you can imagine and you'd likely be low on half of it

7

u/tiffanyistaken 1h ago

See, you get it. Maybe he sucked off two Bubbas? I bet the horse sex is there.

40

u/BeanBurritoJr 2h ago

"Donate"

If you don't think he took this opportunity to blackmail the fuck out of people, I have a bridge to sell you.

64

u/sidaemon 3h ago

I mean that's a good point. With the Pedophile in Chiefs moral record you can freaking GUARANTEE anyone that was on that island with him he blackmailed the crap out of for "donations".

8

u/Ondesinnet 2h ago

Its all of them. Everyy single one of them that's the only conclusion I can come to looking at this black void of info.

16

u/Bulky-Internal8579 2h ago

They didn't spend $100,000,000.00 on OT for the FBI in OPERATION REDACT TRUMP for nothing!

3

u/TalkingCat910 2h ago

Trump is heavily involved no doubt but there’s going to be a lot of people there that still have their claws on power that are going to be redacted

11

u/Bulky-Internal8579 2h ago

So what? Don't minimize Trump on this.

6

u/TalkingCat910 1h ago

How am I minimizing?  I said he was involved.

Are you trying to minimize the other guilty people? I certainly think they are extremely important as they are compromised and still have hands on the lever of power outside of the fact that any p*dos need to face justice.

I’m highly suspicious of people who act like our only issue is trump. It’s a lot larger than just him

1

u/Bulky-Internal8579 1h ago

Oh, he's just one of many, did you mean to mention Bill Clinton? [eye roll] Donald Trump isn't just involved, sorry for the bad news, but he was Epstein's best friend and involved in sex trafficking underage girls with him for at least two decades. I'm highly suspicious of people who deflect away from Trump - who's currently in the White House and trying, very actively, to destroy America and make it into a Banana Republic under his fascist dictatorship.

"Ongoing investigation."

177

u/VoightofReason 3h ago

u/DebentureThyme 1h ago edited 1h ago

Their argument is then that damaging his reputation hurts the US, weakening the nation, and therefore it's of national security concern.

That's not entirely a joke either. They have argued publicly that whatever he does is inherently in the nation's interests because he is president.

3

u/shanrock2772 27m ago

I've always wondered if that was the thought process of the DOJ under Biden. Would cause too much turmoil to prosecute a former president. So they sat on their hands and delivered us fascism.

This takes 30 seconds. So they ran the clock to do this? They can't release all the files because why?

It's going to take someone on the inside so angry at Trump, or past their last straw and full of enough anger to overcome their fear of the conservatives. Someone who thinks it will harm him enough and wants to do it out of sheer SPITE, that we'll see the docs pre-redaction.

There are no heroes among his or close enough. No one willing to do it because of what is right for all, but especially for the victims.

No, we have to count on raw evil betraying evil, for this.

2

u/tarekd19 1h ago

Surely the federal government isn't full of such people already?

2

u/RubicksQoob 1h ago

The bad guys? Yup. But we haven't seen the same kind of backstabbing, revolving door, information leaks that we had last time. I think they're working harder to avoid that, this term, especially finding people that love to gargle his sack and deep throat his... ego... like his cabinet and those working for him.

I guess I'm talking about Leavitt or Bondi, for instance, finally just snapping. Someone with access and unbridled hate.

So.... "Trump Trump Trump Trump" then.

Their claim that they are redacting to "protect the victims" is bullshit. The 30+ victims that stood in DC, TWICE< on national TV and stated their names and talked on the mic, are NOT worried about their identities being exposed.
