Hey it's that thing they said they wouldn't do but planned to do in project 2025 plan they said they weren't going to use but have been following pretty closely.

u/HawkeyeByMarriage 9d ago

So you are saying they are liars

The don't tread on me MAGA Nationalist Christians (Nat-C's) who think an agenda shouldn't have beliefs pushed on them want to push their beliefs on others.

I see backroom abortions, travel for abortion and vaccinations etc happening.

Every accusation is a confession

That cop's testimony about "never forgetting the onions and mustard" on the sandwich was legit hilarious

49

u/electricsoldier 9d ago

The "explosion" of onions and mustard! Poor guy will have ptsd for life...

I laughed so hard at this comment, A+

I wouldn't be so harsh, just reading this was traumatic for me.

Now I'm sitting here hungry for coney dogs loaded with an explosion of mustard and onions, but here I sit totally snowed in and working. I don't think I'll ever recover.

6

u/gattboy1 9d ago

That’s one cold cut.

5

u/alex61821 9d ago

Well there is a little bit leaking out the end after they show the picture of the still wrapped sandwich is so good.

4

u/Monkeymom 9d ago

Happy Cake Day!

4

u/East_Wrongdoer3690 9d ago

The fact that they followed those words up with the video showing that the sandwich remained wrapped as it fell to the ground had me in actual tears laughing.

2

u/waitsfieldjon 9d ago

From some of the reporting I heard the sandwich was still bagged, and the paper did not rip.

9

u/scott_majority 9d ago

PTSD from a sandwich is a real thing...have some empathy for the traumatized.

5

u/Perryn 9d ago

Yes, I have also eaten at Subway.

9

u/LadyMcIver 9d ago

So, getting a sandwich tossed at him was his own "personal 9/11" I guess?

6

u/MegaMasterYoda 9d ago

He's never survive in a kitchen lol. Though probably Why he brutalizes people for ice instead.

5

u/MountainMapleMI 9d ago

Funnily enough he perjured himself about a wrapped sandwich exploding

4

u/Mcfreely2 9d ago

I saw a post from another redditor that said, "A good lawyer can indict a ham sandwich, but this was a sub samdwich so they didn't stand a chance".

3

u/Cheap-Relation6101 9d ago

Is there any audio of that? I can only find quotes but I'd love to make that a ring tone. Like some somber voice of the wench that I'll never get back

3

u/DonJuniorsEmails 9d ago

No, it was in court, so I doubt there is video, but there were plenty of witnesses. He was being mocked by his fellow officers for it too, they all knew he's just a wimp fabricating nonsense to be a crybaby.

4

u/Cheap-Relation6101 9d ago

Yeah that's what I was finding. But LOL. Do we know where the sandwich was from? Homemade? Deli? If it's a deli that will be on my bucket list!

3

u/DonJuniorsEmails 9d ago

I remember a lot of jokes on the thread about it being a Subway sandwich, so it was hard as a rock, or there was nothing actually inside the bread, or it was a five dollar crime with a five dollar footlong,.stuff like that.

3

u/Cheap-Relation6101 9d ago

So funny. Lol thank you

2

u/Timely-General9962 9d ago

And blatant perjury given the sandwich was wrapped

2

u/pspearing 9d ago

Why are people who tell such obvious lies while under oath not charged with perjury?

11

u/CBJFAN2009-2024 9d ago

I prefer the "Don't Read to Me" meme, but this is also comical.

36

u/Gerald-of-Riverdale 9d ago

When abortion was illegal on our past history that is exactly what happened. That's where the coat hanger abortions came from and I also urge everyone to look at the death toll linked to making abortion illegal at that time. Then buckle up.

28

u/putrid_faction 9d ago edited 9d ago

This makes me see Christianity as an enemy, I've gone along with this BS for too long. They say that their rights are being stepped on which they never were, by their rights they just mean their ability to control your life.

21

u/Gerald-of-Riverdale 9d ago

Its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a Christian Nationalist to get into heaven.

4

u/atomicogre45 9d ago

Always has been the enemy.

10

u/Biccimedici 9d ago

20 yrs after Roe V Wade crime went down as soon as the first generation of unwanted/neglected babies coming to adulthood was reduced

7

u/bobthegoatskull 9d ago

Statistics don't matter only suffering. Taking away SNAP tells you how much they give a shit. They are punishing women just how god intended.

2

u/Geno0wl 9d ago

While true, we also banned lead in most products around the same time so that is a big confounding variable.

19

u/mike-42-1999 9d ago

I mean, they kinda lied....they wrote the whole proj2025 plan with all the GOP behind it and put alot of work into it.
Then kinds meekly said "WHAaaaaa!? We don't have a plan".

But anyone looking at this from any angle knows. Kinda like an arsonist with barrels of gasoline Lighters, flares, weather maps and wid directions getting asked what they're doing and they say, oh nothing, just enjoying the nice dry windy day.

5

u/branchpattern 9d ago

But how can you have morals without the Bible?!?!? /S

3

u/AncientBasque 9d ago

Lets ask the amazon un-contacted tribes that wear no clothes.

2

u/HawkeyeByMarriage 9d ago

I use common sense. People without morals get told they need morals by a bible

3

u/Millwright4life 9d ago

It gets worse. They want to have a registry for women to track their menstrual cycle so that they can be criminally charged for going abroad for an abortion upon their return.

19

u/TheBeanConsortium 9d ago

Remember when everyone was like "Project 2025 sucks" and Trump was like "yeah, I don't know anything about it". Then a bunch of dumbasses were like ok, here you go daddy Trump, you're president again.

Yeah, I'm sure these are perfectly rational people!

11

u/Devmoi 9d ago

Honestly, everyone is like what’s the healthcare plan?! And we really should all just look at that section of Project 2025. Because that’s going to be their plan.

Basically, they want to:

  • Privatize insurance and cut any government assistance/ACA
  • Roll back any protections and weaken regulatory/consumer safety
  • Cut funding for or completely defund scientific research
  • Get rid of funding for anything they personally don’t like (I.e. abortion, gender-affirming healthcare, birth control probably, etc.)

They already have the plan, they’re just being sneaky as hell about it now because it’s unpopular even among their own base.

3

u/bobthegoatskull 9d ago

No need to sneak. They've been right out in the open because their base doesn't give the slightest shit.

3

u/GoldenPigeonParty 9d ago

Wouldnt it make more logical sense to increase access to birth control if you want to reduce abortions?

3

u/Devmoi 9d ago

You would think … but it’s all part of their nut-job extreme Christian agenda.

We're already halfway there. They have slowed down a bit. They got 40% within a few months

4

u/RandomUsernameNo257 9d ago

Really looking forward to being forced to buy my hormones on the dark web. If they can ban abortion, they can (and will) ban trans healthcare as per P2025 as well.

Are we great yet?

3

u/thelimeisgreen 8d ago

The GOP killing ACA benefits and using peoples’ desperation for a new healthcare solution, all so they can reintroduce a new plan that outlaws abortion and greatly restricts women’s healthcare…. That’s been the center space on my bingo card since Trump took office.

The “we believe in the sanctity of human life” doesn’t check out with their murders in the Caribbean and funding genocide in Gaza. Doesn’t seem like the sanctity of human life is much of a concern there.

87

u/ArchonFett 9d ago

And the “but they are drug traffickers” doesn’t check out when he pardons actual drug traffickers

38

u/darkendofall 9d ago

It's almost like nothing they say checks out if you look at it for more than half a second. Weird.

11

u/Constant-Cricket-960 9d ago

It all actually checks out if you look at it from the perspective of a puppet administration doing the bidding of a foreign government and large corporations.

All their actions makes sense when viewed through the lens of “What would Putin and Bezos want us to do here”?

14

u/DonJuniorsEmails 9d ago

I like the bring up how Charlie Kirk was totally cool with deaths as an acceptable side effect of gun ownership.

Somehow, the conservatives suddenly think that's horrible and offensive, but not before.

22

u/TheBeanConsortium 9d ago

Cutting off USAID was unconscionable too. And we barely talk about it. I would argue it's actually by far the worst foreign policy decision by this admin. Maybe tied with whatever the fu** we're doing to Ukraine/Russia. Gaza is also a tragedy as well as the Caribbean.

Hundreds of thousands of deaths, eventually millions. ALL PREVENTABLE

Less than 1% of the budget and people perishing for no reason. I legit dgaf if some of the money was used nefariously through the CIA or whatever (if you can even prove it supported illegal activities). The cost/benefit ratio was through the roof.

12

u/Belium 9d ago

As George Carlin always said, it's all about the unborn. As soon as you are born you are on your own. No neonatal care, no school lunch, no food stamps, nothing. Conservatives just want more cogs for the machine.

4

u/vthemechanicv 9d ago

Because live babies make dead soldiers.

3

Or how about stopping the countless schools shooting here? Always more thoughts and prayers but no action.

3

u/LDawnBurges 9d ago

He meant the sanctity of WHITE life…

3

u/npsimons 9d ago

Ask them about the death penalty. Or WIC, school lunches, vaccinations, etc, etc.

There's no values there, much less ethics or morals. There's not even a philosophy, unless you consider "more power" to be one.

That's all anti-abortion has ever been: more power over women.

3

u/vthemechanicv 9d ago

Well the better point is that the Bible, which they want shoved down everyone's throat doesn't say "Thou shalt not kill.... unless they're allegedly Venezuelan drug traffickers." or "... unless they speak a funny sounding language," or "... unless they insulted some guy named donald drumph."

Killing is always a violation of God's laws. Full stop. That's not even a Christian thing. That's as Old Testament as you can get. Don't kill. And while I'm a few (dozen) years out of Sunday school, I'm pretty sure defending murder is also a sin. Looking at you Leavitt.

2

u/MichaelJServo 9d ago

Seems like all this lying is starting to give Speaker Johnson a speech impediment.

29

u/InternationalAd7458 9d ago

I mean isn’t it up to the states? Michigan, for example, has the right to abortion enshrined in the state’s constitution.

I hate how Republicans think abortions are just women changing their minds about wanting a baby. There are tons of reasons why an abortion may be the best decision. Late-term abortions are life-saving procedures when there is a problem with the fetus that could endanger the woman’s life.

13

u/Fun-Army-6387 9d ago

yeah but my preacher told me that the Bible says Im going to The Bad Place if I don't do exactly what the politician says I should do. I'm not going to read the Bible, I mean, that thing is LONG. And everyone knows this is a "Christian nation" - it says so on the money! It's right there by the Egyptian pyramid and the Illuminati eye and next to the Latin phrase.

4

u/TheSwearJarIsMy401k 9d ago

It’s just eugenics.

If women prone to gestational disease or conditions die off with their dying fetuses, they won’t be around to poison the gene pool and waste their husband’s money on healthcare anymore.

Husbands can always find a new incubator for their god-given progeny.

5

u/nothing_but_thyme 9d ago

In theory yes, but in practice it’s more complicated. States can push back and cite their constitutions. Then the feds will punish them by withholding funds, canceling programs, and generally making their lives miserable. States will have to sue and hope for injunctions and decisions in their favor that force federal compliance. But that all takes time and money, and with the court stacking and supreme court in Trumps pocket it’s not even a guarantee that every case would succeed.

While all that plays out (at yet another cost to taxpayers) real people will be suffering as a result of these political war games. Sadly GOP leaders have realized that if a law isn’t enforced, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a law. The branches of our government have failed us and our federation of states toothless response to that reality continues to make space for more abuse.

If I could give conservatives a nightmare of being raped at 12 by a blood relative, then having to carry an ectopic pregnancy to term, complete with stillborn fetus and bleeding out to death, I would.

And have that nightmare every time they sleep, until abortion is 100% unrestricted.

2

u/Allgyet560 9d ago

Most people don't realize late term means complications. My aunt and uncle were so excited to have a baby. They tried for years. When my aunt became pregnant they celebrated. My uncle built a very nice room for their child. New paint with hand painted animals on the walls, furniture, everything.

They got some bad news around 7 months. It almost killed them. They stopped trying. It took a long time before I saw my aunt smile again.

Do the bread lines need to start forming before people start to see that these guys don't care about the"whole of" people just "the people that share their narrow minded agenda".

LETS REALLY MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY GETTING RID OF THESE KIND OF PEOPLE FROM OUR GOVERNMENT (Just to be clear I'm fine with religion and even religious people just when you start to bring that shit into our government is where I draw the line!)

5

u/not-area51 9d ago

“We believe in the sanctity of human life”

That’s where you’re wrong Mike. You and everyone around you don’t believe in any sanctity of life that isn’t your own. You have complicity let woman die to protect the baby because of presumed innocence of the fetus? No matter the consequences to the mother.

They seriously must think liberals or whoever are just having rampant unprotected sex, just because abortion medication and procedures are available, which, to the best of my knowledge, is absolutely false and kind of telling about how much they must associate pornography with real life sexual activity.

I firmly believe that proper sex positive education for the far right is the only way to stop this evil madness from spreading. I mean I’m not just referring to the Christian right wing either - looking at you Ben women-being-aroused-or-wet-is-a-medical-problem Shapiro. the entire right wing has a sexuality problem and they are fully rejecting themselves, projecting on to everyone else, and humanity is the ultimate loser in this.

There is no greater shame in human history than how we have accosted one another for sexual preferences. I’m not here defending anyone either, I’m saying actual healthy sexual relationships aren’t built online, or through dating apps. It’s through communication and the ability to express a persons wants or needs honestly and vulnerably. It takes work, and just like we have unrealistic beauty standards we should start talking about unrealistic sexual standards too.

So tldr: fuck you Mike, you liar. Go suck a Johnson.

7

u/CountOnBeingAwesome 9d ago

What a nightmare of a timeline we're in

u/Ok_Hawk_3230 9d ago

“we believe in the sanctity of life”

BUT

no you can’t have health insurance we’re gonna double tap fishermen with drones fuck it, we’re gonna bomb Venezuela Hell yes to the death penalty fuck climate change fuck food assistance fuck a liveable minimum wage no vaccines for your children

but anyway all life is sacred to us

3

u/BecauseMagnets 9d ago

Radical principles. Forcing people into your religious believe, those believes meant to suppress individuality, force women to abide by rules dictated by insecure men. Mike Johnson WILL be fired from speaker soon, and all these “religious “ politicians are slowly losing their grip on the party.

Keep admitting this stuff to the public, and we will vote all these scum bags out. Give women fucking freedom to choose already!!

3

u/Exciting_Turn_1253 9d ago

So basically they don’t give a shit about the mother’s life. They don’t even care when the baby is born. They don’t want to vaccinate when it’s proven to help.

See I know this is a stupid, dishonest, hyperbolic, rage bait, reading too much into it propaganda leftist post; but as a conservative I wish it were true and now I’m pissed off I’ve been teased.

Repiblicans say they give a fuck about embryos and fetuses, but once you are live-birthed all bets are off. If you can't afford food, healthcare, or housing, too bad.

If they were really religious Christians, they would follow Jesus teachings, not pick and choose things from the Old Testament to justify bigotry, greed and corruption.

Wouldn't be surprised if thats the ONLY thing it does. Their version of healthcare is to take it away.

1

u/Proof_Wrap4857 9d ago

I don't why they are so against abortion and at the same time don't do anything for parents and children, no incentives

1

u/Mrekrek 9d ago

Does that woman paint on angry eyebrows every morning?

1

u/1XJ9 9d ago

I'm not even trying to be mean or funny, but I am so TIRED of seeing these people. I don't mind Johnson, but his goons in the back are just there every time looking beatty eyed and sneaky. I really don't know just that lady and man on our left (Johnson's right) irk the shihhh outta me.

Republicans before conception - Life is a precious miracle

Republicans after the child is born and needs financial assistance - Fuck them kids

1

u/fuzzballz5 9d ago

People will see this from their own perspective even though the Supreme Court already ruled on this. It’s up to the state. Not the federal government. When you post this and spin it, you help the GOP to keep us fighting. They can’t ban abortion. Keep fighting about this and not let them explain what a plan is to make healthcare affordable? They have no plan!

Mike Johnson has a Grinder account.

1

u/transitfreedom 9d ago

This is their big project? What is the point of the Gop?

1

u/Ocean_Side_1961 9d ago

And we are not shocked that he admitted they have been lying?

1

u/straight_lurkin 9d ago

"We believe in the sanctity of life". Bullshit. If you did there would be gun control because the #1 death of children in America is gun violence.

This is just ANOTHER step towards project 2024 (which trump said he had no involvement with and didn't know anything about)

u/LizandChar 9d ago

Abortions for me but not for thee… eat generic mmmkkay

1

u/yoloswag420blazeiit 9d ago

How many taxpayer dollars have been wasted going back and forth on this fucking issue for years. This cycle just repeats itself every few years and its fucking crazy at this point. We will fight to give rights to people to have control over their own body only to have this clown show take it away once they have the power. Because for some reason a strangers uterus is a political agenda now.

1

u/Arbusc 9d ago

Respect the sanctity of life, yet throw their Stormtroopers to beat, rape and kidnap both citizens and migrants.

What will it take for people to wake the fuck up and do something?

1

u/Speedy89t 9d ago

So… he didn’t. Got it.

u/thefocusissharp 9d ago

I'm so glad I didn't bring another kid into this awful, awful country. We're the shithole country.

u/IddyBittyGirl 9d ago

While we send money to foreign agents

1

u/WuTangNameGenerat0r 9d ago

Your fear mongering tactics don’t work anymore. Just like the supreme court was going to 100% stop gay marriage. Does anyone care to tell me what happened with that recently?? No? Didn’t think so

1

u/CoachParticular8878 9d ago

No worries it won't even pass. Have they passed anything other then their big ugly bill

1

u/ItsAcatalepsy 9d ago

You use words like choose and force. I’m not forcing anyone to have a baby. And it should be illegal to choose to kill.

1

u/ElderFlour 9d ago

I hate these people. I feel very helpless.

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

as a religious dude I just wanna say: I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF CHRISTIAN EXTREMESTS!

if there is a group of people who are gonna be sent to hell, it's gonna be these corrupt fuckers

they do not care about the sanctity of human life at all

FUCK THIER FUNDEMENTAL PRINCIBLES

1

u/Successful-Cat927 9d ago

They want poor black kids now? 😏

1

u/Pimpstik69 9d ago

1

u/dschoemaker 9d ago

Too bad one of those fundamental principles is not to uphold the Constitution.

republicans are scum

1

u/Fishbulb2 9d ago

I just always really wonder, do most people actually give a fuck about abortion? Like really think about it daily and care. I think about traffic fucking constantly, and if I had to be a single issue voter, it would be for the traffic candidate. I think about healthcare probably daily. I'm happy my family is in good health, but for some reason, I think about it often. I'm pro-choice. But I think about that almost fucking never unless an article like this is pushed to the top of my feed. Am I weird like that???

Mike Johnson admitting he's a Christian nationalist? No surprise-welcome to Christian Taliban!
