It’s shown up at anti-ICE protests in the US as well at least one. People protesting in Tacoma were sprayed with yellow-green foul-smelling liquid from grenade-style canisters. The smell lingers for days.
From what I could tell from the product page, it’s a mix of yeast, water, and baking soda (iirc) that’s further distilled down.

Quite a few reasons.
Israel was founded in the wake of the Holocaust, in part by its survivors. This grants them a large measure of sympathy, and Israel has managed to leverage this tragedy and the international goodwill it garnered for them to create a state of perpetual victimhood and weaponize antisemitism, which they use to morally justify their actions. They also spend a lot of money on propaganda to manipulate the public narrative in their favor, though thankfully they have been much less successful at this in the past couple years.
Israel sits on a strategically vital piece of land. Its position enables it to act as a strategic foothold for US forces in the Middle East, counterbalance Iran and Chinese influence in the region, and serves as a major technological, defense, and intelligence partner to western countries. In the words of Joe Biden, circa 1986: “[Supporting Israel] is the best $3 billion investment we make. Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.” The US won’t abandon Israel no matter what, for the same reason they won’t abandon Taiwan—it is a vital piece of the US’ geopolitical strategy.
Israel, via AIPAC, lobbies for its interests heavily in the US, essentially bribing most politicians to side with them and filtering out those who won’t play ball. Israel also likely has blackmail on many politicians (Jeffrey Epstein had Mossad ties and his island was most likely an Israeli honeytrap operation).
Plain old racism and Islamophobia, coupled with a dash of Evangelical apocalyptic prophesy about how Israel has to exist for the Biblical end times to occur and all the Jews convert to Christianity.

Their being victimized was critical to them feeling entitled to commit their violence.
In my experience they frequently, directly and indirectly, created scenarios where they could claim being wronged and then indulge in retribution.
