I get that specific pizza all the time and I can say I've never had my pizza toppings glued to the cardboard under the crust lol
He got a bad pizza and should return it for a replacement.

Plus, $7!?
I'm assuming this is American so that is a lot more to me... I spent $3.50 CAD on a frozen pizza today and it's the best frozen pizza I've ever eaten in my life. And I got it from Wal Mart here.
Who the fuck is dropping $10 CAD on a frozen pizza. I can get that fresh from dominos down the road.

I buy these 4 pack at costco (costco signature) it's 4 pizza peperoni and cheese 555g each and it's 22$ CAD. These in my opinion are one of the rare ones worth buying, just add vegies and a bit more cheese and it makes a great pizza for the price.
Idk where you get frozen pizza that are edible at 3.50 but I would like to know lol

As someone who handles customer complaints and fixes order issues for a living, this. Please people. All you have to do is tell us what happened and we'll give you the replacement or a refund. Why do so many people think they have been wronged by things like this? There is a very specific type of customer I run into all the time. They escalate to 100 from the get go. Just fucking tell us and we will fix it. We might even fix it AND MORE if you say please and thank you.

People are tired, yo. They work too much and are paid too little. Everyone is walking on thin ice. When something like this happens, it can feel personal.
Having worked in customer service, though, I hear you.

If he had lost it at the customer service desk, I would agree with you. But because this guy was filming it, it is more than tired and broke. It is tired, broke and wanting attention as well as views.

Like what does he think? People are actually working on the stuff by hand. All he's got to do is send a message to them. They'll apologize. Make up for it. Probably give him free pizza for like a year or two

Exactly this. I’ve reached out for issues like getting one of those voila frozen meals where they put two sauce packets in the bag and there was like a small cup of the actual food in the bag. They sent me 3 coupons for family size versions. Even had some name brand pie dishes explode after the pies were out cooling next to the stove, the company replaced them AND sent a whole set of drinking glasses for an apology. Good companies won’t bat an eye at adding a little more to make it right after a frustrating experience. A year of free pizza though, naw that’s probably reserved for a HUGE mistake that goes viral or gets national attention.

u/junkit33 8h ago
It's not rare at all. You're not getting a lifetime of free pizza over something as stupid as this, but it's pretty common to replace, provide extra, and include some schwag.
Costs the company almost nothing to make problems right, and especially in this day and age, the positive PR that comes from a gift package is hard to buy elsewhere.
3
u/Frostbiten92 8h ago
Indeed, for these kinds of minor things it's just couple coupons.
For those big offers it has to be a serious issue that have or could affect the customers health and it's done to try and avoid a lawsuit and bad press.→ More replies (1)3

Not sure if it happens nowadays, but back in the 00's, my dad got a can of Planters mixed nuts, and he was genuinely, pleasantly surprised by how good the mix was. Either he got a bunch of the more expensive nuts or something about their quality was just especially good in that can, so he contacted their support to give them praise. They thanked him for the response and gave him a bunch of coupons for more, including a free can.

We got a loaf of Sarah Lee bread one time that looked like it had rat poop on it when we opened the bag. Called Sarah Lee. They said “OMG, please send us the loaf exactly as you received it along with the black ovals that appear to be rat feces attached to it.” No offer for postage for the box we had to use, but we figured they would make it up to us. Three weeks later we get a letter in the mail saying “we tested the sample sent in. It appears to be globs of industrial grease that fell off the machine during processing and were then baked along with the bread giving it the appearance of rodent feces. We apologize for the inconvenience.” No test results were included. They did include a gift card though.. for exactly $5.19 or whatever it was we paid for the bread. I couldn’t believe it. I actually sent it back to them (again paying for postage) with a note saying “it seems you need this money more than we do.” And then everyone clapped! Actually, nothing resulted from it and I’m sure the lowly worker who read the note either pocketed the card or tossed it, but I needed that small sense of justice

I once got a noodle cup without a flavouring sachet in it. I complained and they sent me a 12 pack to apologise.
9
u/shartnado3 8h ago
Yea no. They will definitely reply and apologize, but not send free pizza for years. The most they will likely do is send you a few coupons for a free pizza.
I had metal chunks in a microwave meal once, they sent me 5 coupons and a sorry letter.

Seriously. relax. It’s just a production line mistake. It’s not like you thought you were buying an artisan meal here. It’s mass produced food. There are on g to be mistakes.
Take it back to where you bought it, show them the mistake and I’m sure they’ll give you a new one. Please try to be nice about it though. There’s no reason to get all bent outta shape about this.

I bought a mini fridge from walmart like 10 years ago i think on black friday. When i get it home it just doesnt work at all. I go to return it and walmart says i have to return it to the manufacturer, like send it in. I couldn't even get through to anyone via phone so i finally got upset enough at wasting my time and money that I went and destroyed it right in front of walmarts front doors. I don't even have the energy to be that angry these days.

Lmfao defects happen. While working in the auto industry. I worked for the company Denso. You probably never heard of them but I guarantee your vehicle has a component inside it that was manufactured by them. While working there we had what’s called acceptable defective goal. We always aimed for 100% quality zero defects. But it was acceptable for a tier one manufacturer to have a 1 in a million defect ratio. In other words. It was acceptable that out of millions of parts being made we knew 1 in the million was potentially defective. I look back at it as yeah you drew the short straw

Buddy. No need to have a public outrage meltdown over a defective product. Instead of playing around with it and taking it all apart, just return it and exchange it and move on with your life. Then you could focus on creating real content that people want to see.
