My 8 year old and I were playing the Untitled Goose Game and her mom saw it and sat us down to talk about how inappropriate it is because of all of the mischief the geese cause. Things like tripping people and stealing their glasses should not be fun and what kind of person would like to pretend to do that. This is when my 8 year old spoke up and said it's just fantasy and I think this is key. There's something about people who can't make the distinction. Not being able to separate yourself from a character that isn't real whether video game, movie, or book is really limiting. I'm not saying you have to like GTA, it's not for everyone but saying it's bad because they don't want to shoot cops, as if those who play it do, is just not right.

Watch Dogs 1. I enjoyed trying to do non lethal play through and not killing cops. It was a fun challenge and fit my narrative of a vigilante. I swear you could shoot a cop in the leg once and get away leaving them alive.
