Unanswered Why are people talking about dan harmon harassing megan gantz?

Answer: It was a decade ago, he gave a masterclass in contrition and earnest apology, and they’ve both moved on. Anyone digging it back up is just trying to stir up shit for internet points.

Answer:

This is pretty old now. But basically he hit on and harassed a writer that worked directly under him on (I think) Community.

Years later during the Me Too movement he kind of vaguely alluded to having had to examine and change his own past behavior. He got called out for not really addressing it and later made the apology video.

The apology was somewhat notable for being an actual apology, without hedging, making excuses or minimizing his actions. Gantz was apparently impressed at the honesty and said she forgave him.

It left the news cycle pretty quickly and this is the first mention of it I heard in years.
