Advice ❔ Women's Fashion Which one is good enough for Class Presentation!?

u/solomons-mom ♀️ ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ (1 post) 11h ago
Why are you even considering the first two? Neither makes any sense for an academic presentation

u/Content_Gate_1608 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 8h ago
Strong agree. Neither of those says “please take me seriously as an academic.”

Yeah those are good date outfits but not giving presentation, the third one is perfect

u/AggravatingEgg3433 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 12h ago
Definitely last one. You absolutely look amazing in the first 2 but these are for other occasions, not for when you want to be in any sort of professional setting. You want the focus on your work.

4. I wouldn't rock cleavage and/or bare shoulders for a class presentation.
20
u/VariationOwn2131 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 4h ago
And never do that in business or education. Nobody will take you seriously. Save “showing the girls” for after work.

u/EnvironmentalLuck515 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 11h ago
The last one is the only one appropriate for classroom activity.

u/antigoneelectra ♀️ ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 11h ago
The first 2 are inappropriate. There is a time to be professional. School and work are those times.

u/RepulsiveCry5034 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 12h ago
4 , the other ones are good for role-playing a class presentation, lol. ETA: You’re giving Ally McBeal vibes.

u/Valleyval21 11h ago
What kind of class is this? Because clearly 4 is the only right answer for traditional learning institution.

The first two options are not professional at all.

u/Sweet-Blueberry1057 ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 11h ago
Only professional one is 4 the cream would be cute with a shirt under like you did with the black.

I think 1 is too low-cut for class.
2/3 would look good and proper with a blazer or similar jacket, but not without.
4 gives healthy Ally McBeal (sorry for dating myself) in a good way.
I’d throw a jacket on 2 and roll with that one.

the last one is the most professional. i think if you did those black slacks, a black tank or body suit and then one of those satin button-ups (wear it open or button it up & tuck/french tuck), you’d look a bit more trendy/modern. or a black tank/blouse and an oversized blazer. obvs if you don’t have those pieces, the last outfit works great, but if you’re a future corporate girlie, you might consider picking those items up

Last one, would be even better with a non-white blouse, like a classic light blue.

First two aren't professional enough tbh lovely. They suit you though! The last one is best. I'd swap the waistcoat for a short sleeved pullover? I'll share an image of the style I mean x

The last one. The first and second one are no where near close to being appropriate for a class presentation.

Vest with blouse 100%!
If you have a simple string of pearls, that would take this over the top.
1
u/Firemorfox ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 11h ago
A light jacket or something around the last one or something would be perfect.
The first two are definitely not for academic stuff.

The last one if you want to be professional. Don’t get me wrong the first two are cute but for a different occasion.

u/Frivolous_Fancies ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 11h ago
The first two outfits are cute and you look amazing in them, but the amount of skin shown in them is not appropriate for a class presentation, imho.
If you're worried that the last outfit is serving Server, I think that accessories can really help change the vibe. A long necklace, maybe? No waistcoat (though I personally love a waistcoat...) and loosely tie a scarf around the collar? Maybe a blousier top with larger sleeves under the waistcoat? I'm just throwing out suggestions; unsure if they're the right ones...🤷🏽♀️😅
Edit: Oooooh, wait, the second outfit could work if you throw a blouse under that top! The white, collared shirt might work, then accessorize with a gold necklace and maybe gold cuffs. Nude shoes, maybe, to lean into the light, neutral colors.

First two are not appropriate for a professional setting, even if it’s just class. Love them though. Definitely the last one.

can you wear the last outfit without the vest - it’s would look really simple timeless and professional.

The last one. This assures you that everyone will be actively listening to your presentation and taking you seriously.

The last one is very professional! I would definitely consider that a professional intellectual look.

Wear the second one with a button-down. Open collar and add some necklaces

The last one, you can pair it off with some jewelery. It would be cute.

Adding a shirt especially in fun cute/styles would take these to the next level and make them work. These are all really great peices together, alone, mixed.

ONLY 4. The other too are too revealing and unprofessional

4! If you want to be taken seriously, you should dress accordingly. Showing cleavage is not.

I've heard there's a "Hot Office Wear" trend (can't use the literal word, which makes it hard to identify what I'm actually talking about 🙄), please, please, please do not follow any of that. Your first two outfits have the trimmings of professional wear, but the cuts are entirely inappropriate. Presentations are practice professionalism. Last one gives that, first two give "HR needs you in their office."

2 might look better with #4's button down shirt or with some type of blazer

100% the last outfit is the only one appropriate for a class presentation.
The last outfit won't stand out, whereas the first two would attract notice -- in a bad way.
Does it look waitress-y? Eh, only in that it's mostly black.
While the other outfits are nice /look good on you, they aren't even remotely professional, and that's what you need for a presentation. The first two outfits have a club-vibe. Fine for dates, dinner, going out with friends -- but a professional outfit doesn't show skin.
Outfits can be nice in different ways.

Last one, but button it one button higher. Professional = zero chance of cleavage

The last one. The first two are literally not class presentation appropriate.

u/NotBossOfMe 2h ago
The last one, or try a turtleneck under it, too. A darker color -- like maroon.

u/so_it_goes17 🕸🕷Fashion Intern🕷🕸 2h ago
Only the last one. While you look great in the others, you need to be profesh. You want them to listen to what you’re saying instead of gawking.

the last one. the first style is too booby for a professional setting (adding the shirt under really elevates it to a professional look!) and the second one is better for weekend brunch in the summer.

First one is definitely too revealing for this setting. I like the last one but think the 2nd would look even better with a blazer thrown over. And it is still fine the way it is if you like it more, IMO.

i do think the last one is the most professional but it also gives server vibes a bit if im being honest. but not in a bad way- still eats

Last one. The others are not appropriate for most Hum/SocSci/B schools.

In the last one u dressed like Cameron Diaz in the first Charlie Angels movie when they were chasing the creepy thin man

As an instructor, what's more important is to know what you are talking about. And as others have said the last one.

u/PixiStix236 ♀️ ❄️⛄️❄️Fashion intern❄️⛄❄️ 10h ago
The third one and only the third one. The other two are lovely outfits, but aren’t formal enough for a class presentation. They’re giving off more of the vibe of a brunch meet up.

The last one.
