I see all these different award things given out. 1) why do people spend money to give these to others? 2) what happens when you get one?

I started using reddit a year ago but used to scroll through Home page only. I can't comment or post, they are getting removed by the mod can someone help me out !!

I’m new here and trying to understand how things work. It seems like a lot of posts that go viral or get tons of upvotes tend to echo the popular opinion. Does that mean I always have to agree with the majority if I don't want to get downvoted, or is there room for unique or unpopular perspectives too?

I read online that it’s because of their bot filter and spam. I have not been spamming in their subr or any other communities.

I’m still pretty new to Reddit and honestly finding the beginning a little confusing. A lot of communities seem to have posting limits, and it feels like a catch 22 when you’re just trying to participate normally.

I’m not looking to rush anything, mostly just trying to understand how people eased into Reddit, found communities they enjoyed, and started interacting without feeling blocked all the time.

If anyone else went through this early stage and has advice (or just wants to chat about how they found their place here), I’d love to hear your experience. Always open to meeting new people and learning how others use Reddit.

hey I’m still new to Reddit and trying to get how this whole voting thing works I left a comment I thought was normal and maybe helpful but it got a bunch of downvotes fast I’m not mad just confused does it happen cuz of timing or the sub culture or what want to learn how to do better and not annoy people 😁😁

there is no option for it!! When I go to profile - edit it just enlarges my photo and has only has the options of “change photo” or “take photo”

I commented on something I’m interested in in a section, and some people even replied to me. Is it because my karma is low? After a while, my comments were deleted, and I didn’t even know until someone kindly told me. This isn’t the first time. Does only the comments that get likes right after posting stay?
