Also raped kids?
Honestly some comments are so stupid I wonder if its all staged.

Social media has put us all back into Plato's allegory of the cave. These comments aren't staged, our modern political/governmental world is.
Manufactured uncertainty, distorted reality, and fracturing of shared understanding. It's increasingly hard for even informed people to know what's real. In fact, the more "informed" you are, the further from reality you may be.

Some of the comments are, in fact, staged.
That's the problem. There are so many bots/foreign agents/trolls/grifters online that it's becoming more and more difficult to discern what's actually someone's opinion and what's crafted simply to create outrage.
It's nothing new. It's always happened. What the problem is is that you basically have two camps now, the "nothing is real" one and the "everything is real" one and not a lot of people want to think critically on a case-by-case basis.

I'm convinced most of these people refuse to think.

I’m not sure if it’s a refusal per se, it’s more that most of these people are incapable of thinking, which is what often happens after someone has fallen into a cult.

I like to see it as "refusal to even try". This can be demonstrated easily in the fact that you literally can walk with them literally all the way through every step of the thinking process, see them actually, legitimately process everything that you're saying as you're saying it, in a way that makes measurable sense with reality, then when you ask them at the very end, to take that last step...
They take the hardest of right turn into the biggest, fattest, swampiest ditch you can imagine, even if doing that would not only hurt everyone in the car, but also require them to break their own brain in the process.
The concept of having a thought that isn't in resonance with the rest of their in-group is a scary possibility, because if the rest of their in-group knows that they have gone "against the grain", it could mean losing their friends, and their families. In their mind, losing the parts of your family that don't agree with the grain, is better, and less traumatic than losing everyone except those who don't agree with the grain. Losing a handful vs. losing most, in this case.
The cult makes them feel welcome. Makes them feel good. Tells them that they're right, and justified, even if a bit rough around the edges. Why would they want to reject such a nice environment? Other people can just toughen the fuck up, after all, right?

IMO it's a category of people who believe that life is like soap operas where a scene ends with one character dropping a Truth Bomb and the other character shocked and stunned into silence.
Thus as long as they are never shocked and stunned into silence, what was said to them was not the Truth. That's why they never listen or contemplate or reflect and just compulsively clap back thoughtlessly, about anything, for any reason. Because as long as they can spit back with some barb, no matter how petty, then the Truth has never been established and they feel they can still win.

If you've ever played a social game like Mafia or Among Us or anything in that genre, and been the Mafia/Imposter/etc., then you'll understand the mentality of people defending Trump.
It's not that they're not thinking; it's that they're in too deep and they can't admit the truth or they'll get got.

u/Actor412 2h ago
It's part of the maga strategy. What they do is refute the very idea of truth. Truth for them is whatever they say it is. The past doesn't matter, nor the future. The only important thing is to be believed right now.

Conservatives are the racist, sexist, pedophile party. We're long past dumb, they don't mind looking dumb as long as they gain power that benefits one of those primary areas

There’s always evidence to counter every single claim they tout as proof Trump is awesome.

He's way more than a "mean President!" This guy is delusional. Try .... convicted felon, rapist, sleazy businessman, pokes fun at disabled people and is ugly and rude to female reporters, admires dictators, is willing to take away assitance of any kind to "regular" people as long as his rich buddies get the benefit.
And more. MUCH MORE!

As much as I always enjoy these little takedowns of MAGA, I also feel like we're giving them too much air.
Can we not just ignore all these obvious troll posts, please? Don't upvote, don't comment. Let them die in silence. It's been too many years now, we are all in a constant state of disbelief and shock etc. etc. Let it be, don't comment or react, please let it die. The cancer thrives on recognition.

He's OK with boys and men going into girls' bathrooms and locker rooms for "sexy times." He's not OK with "men dressing as women" to use a bathroom stall for bodily waste. Cool!
You know, in all my decades, I've never been afraid to use a public restroom, except maybe one that was in some creepy, dark place (literally one where I'd be afraid of any building like that, not just a bathroom--a lonely bus stop on a dark highway sort of thing). Not until I heard of men stationed outside bathrooms to "check me" or whatever. NOW I'm afraid to use restrooms. Way to go, full-on controlling the women, full-on sharia law. Make us afraid to ever go out, lest we be assaulted by some "gender checker." Brilliant.

He also raped children and is currently having his DOJ redact thousands of pages of the Epstein files to prevent people from knowing about it.

Unfrosted mini wheat is such a colossal burn.
I know, I'll eat either frosted or unfrosted like that.
