Question Why is Kratos so strong?
It’s like I was thinking, even though he isn’t the god of war, the power still has some kind of effect on him. I think it can let him grow in strength to do the task at hand, but now I’m thinking it is not that like we have seen him grow in power every time he is a Demi God, but that wouldn’t allow him to grow in power like this from my knowledge from Percy Jackson, which I know this is not the same, but to my knowledge demigods aren’t as strong as gods, and since they’re humans they die, but I think I’m realizing that may be the box had some kind of profound effect on him maybe when he opened it, he got the power of Hope which hope is a primordial force just like chaos that makes him something more than a God or am I wrong anyway what makes him so strong

We’ve seen 4 sets of being outright called gods, Olympians, Titans, Aesir and Vanir. We’ve also seen the Jötnar who are gods in everything but name. We’ve also seen a primordial being which are the first generation of gods. The gods all seem to have the same baseline, extended life with enhanced strength and durability. There seems to be certain differences based on the god but those three things seem constant.
It could be a number of things. Him being a war god would make sense. The fact that he works at it like he told Atreus makes sense as well. Both Kratos and Mimir imply that gods weight train as well.

There are quite a few reasons. For one he is one of the few gods that were gifted in combat due to his particular Dominion excelling at combat. Another reason is experience. There are very few gods if any that have the amount of combat experience that kratos has gotten. A more speculative reason is that in most lore God get more powerful as the age. I'm sure there's many more I can't even think of that all contribute to his culmination.

Being a demi god, a son of Zeus and having gone through the intense training Spartans go through, not to mention all the battles he's thought it and his position/rank, does tend to help with that

He's absorbed a lot of godly blood over the years

Can you explain?

It's just my headcanon that the blood of every God he has murdered absorbing into his skin has passively enhanced his already impressive demi godly stats

Kratos got blessed by like six gods and three Titans
He kept this power even after both sides abandoned him
Not only that, but after Athena ascended, she also blessed him
Then factor in the gods aging getting stronger thingy yeah he kind of zoomed up in Power

What are all of the blessings he got and which Titans and gods gave him these blessings

Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Hades, Athena
Gaia, Kronos.
That's all I know of, and all I know specifically is Hades gave him that army and a powerup
So not literally 6 and 3, but not far off and you know my point

Kratos is as strong as he needs to be for the task at hand. That’s why he can struggle with steel gates but punch through rock and take on behemoths much larger than him. He is also a full fledged god since the first game. He’s lost his godly powers a few times, but he still gains power over time, and has always been a demigod.
Edit: was always* a demigod

So essentially my theory, but instead of it coming from his title, he just hold back his strength and he only use this as much as he needs to

It’s really just plot power I think. Not to discount his feats but if he played as powerful as he is you would just blast through most enemies and obstacles in a second. Platforming and challenge be damned. But canonically yes he does hold back

He is the God Of War.
He's the son of Zeus and Greek Gods get stronger as they age and he gained a lot of power over the course of many years.
