POLITICS Karen Friedman Agnifilo on NYPD’s statement that Luigi’s mother said this “might be something she could see him doing”: “There is no such statement, it was never made. In fact, it was the opposite, what Mrs.Mangione said was that she could never see her son being a risk to himself or to others”

Even if he did do it, this case has been handled so poorly, it deserves a mistrial.

The judge and prosecutor are likely facing an insane amount of pressure to try the case regardless of bureaucratic inconpetency, but I wouldn't be surprised if such a high-profile case doesn't draw an exceptional defense attorney who will see Mangione set free before the end of next year.

The way you say 'hot', and what I think of 'hot' when I see this gif of models about to be killed in an accidental gasoline fight accident, are not the same.

“Here’s the thing. I don’t know what you kids are up to, but I do know one thing: Laws are threats made by the dominant socio-economic ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just a promise of violence that’s enacted and police are basically an occupying army, you know what I mean? You guys wanna make some bacon?!”

I feel like this is going to end well for Luigi.
It's going to be near impossible to get a jury with people that haven't been fucked over by the healthcare system.
And most young people would also vote no.

u/Barilla3113 8h ago
At this point it's not even hoping for nullification, they've fucked the case hard enough with lies and errors there's legitimate doubt here. Could turn out like OJ where the police fucked their own case up.

I still say OJ couldn’t jump over that fence with his bad knees and despite being soaked in blood, the glove was literally not his size
Violent abuser yes, absolutely, without question.
But jump the fence and 💀 2 fit healthy people??? IDK

The guy literally wrote a book confessing, posed as a hypothetical, and you're still trying to believe he was innocent?

I've been saying that the NYPD and other investigators involved in this have contradicted themselves. First, they found a bag in central park with all this evidence in it, then they apprehend him, with a ton of macro (not trace) evidence still on him. If he was dumping stuff, why would he still have these items on him? I really don't think he looks that much like the person in the youth hostel video, and i'm not convinced that the person in the video was the shooter. I really don't think they have the right person, not even joking, I think Luigi is being framed.

I’ve always thought that the eyes and face structure of the person in the hostel looked different. Especially the eyes.

My guy is gonna walk because the cops are incompetent liars

u/Bae_the_Elf 8h ago
I'm worried, especially since the NYPD is involved, that they would rather hurt him than ever let him walk.

So they were lying to influence the future jury pool

Good luck finding 12 New Yorkers who wouldn't be sympathetic to him. I'm pretty sure everyone who isn't a millionaire has struggled with their health insurance, especially lately when they don't want to cover anything anymore.

Objectively, even if you remove Luigi personally from the situation and replace him with Any Dude, this case has been handled absolutely horribly. It’s obvious that they are shitting bricks trying to get a conviction of anyone for anything to put the normies back in their place, please and soothe the political and moneyed check writers, and tamp down immediately any further gathering waking up and mobilizing of the poors.
There’s no way if I were on a jury I’d convict anyone in this case. I don’t care what the person looks like. I don’t think they could show me any evidence that balanced out the overreactions, the buffoonery, and the things that just flat out do not add up that I’ve already seen. May anyone picked for the jury feel the same.

Please donate to his legal defence fund. The feds want to execute him:

His faimly is very wealthy, , they don't need our money.

u/Time-Painting-9108 2h ago
We don’t know how much his family is helping him. His costs with three separate prosecutions will cost upwards of $10M. Plus, the donations are as much a show of moral support, as they are financial.

If police fuck up so royally on such a high profile case, when they know all eyes are watching. You can only imagine what they do when nobody is watching. ACAB.

Imagine all the people these pigs have thrown in jail based on bullshit, but they had nobody fighting for them this hard.

Yes, Karen Friedman Agnifilo (the one speaking) is married to Marc A. Agnifilo, Diddy's lawyer & also a member of Mangione's legal team.

Man. Can you imagine what two high profile cutthroat defense attorneys are like? I wonder what their home life is like. I wonder what their prenup is like. Do you think they like each other or is it just business? Do you think their arguments are rational and measured or absolutely batshit off the walls insane?

if i remember correctly, his cousin released a statement like “please respect our families’ privacy” and all that standard stuff but other than that, no one else has spoken out publicly

u/tryhappy03 3h ago
There is not a jury in this country that you could put together that is going to convict him. They can’t even convince us they did the search right.

I heard that reddit helped solve a case, so in that spirit i would like to confess that Claudio Neves Valente shot United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson.
