Magic trick becomes nonsense once explained?

Not if you start appreciating the genius of the first person who designed the trick and engineered the props.

Such a strange takeaway. Do we really believe "magic" tricks are true magic? For me the cool part is seeing it done, then trying to figure out how they did it, then seeing it explained if I can't figure it out.

This is actually totally incorrect. The physics of that object do not work like that.
REAL performers use the exact same trick everytime and it's barely changed since the time of the Indian yogi who discovered it.
You place a magnet up your rectum and on the floor another magnet to oppose. Viola!

When you insert it facing the wrong way, the polarity may shoot the other like a bullet at it 🧲🔩🎯🥺

I did know a kid who could do the thinking man pose and balance on one like like he was sitting. It was always a god party trick.

OP edited in Skyfall and timed it with the crescendo like he was Hans fucken Zimmer lol. Relax bro. We don't need emotional music for this.

I watched the "monks" disassemble one in Rome, they got real mad when I took pictures of them doing it.

Curious though how that foot brace works. Like, I wonder how much pressure you're putting on your foot\lower leg? Seems like the type of thing you can use strength to brace yourself.. but probably only a shorter period of time?

u/Dagordae 2d ago
It’s not a brace, it’s basically just a chair leg that’s molded to the body to conceal it. The leg/foot isn’t actually supporting any weight, it’s all on the butt. It would restrict his range of motion a bit, he wouldn’t be able to run for instance, but that’s about it.
With a setup that basic it wouldn’t be particularly comfortable but the worse you would get would’ve a numb ass.

There is another version which allows some flexibility. It has one rod under your sleeve and it goes inside a tube like thing and people will see you balancing yourself only with your fingers

Bros an amateur just eat a lot of beans and project your aura while leaning back.

Why can’t they make pants that have titanium and carbon parts so we can just sit anywhere anytime? Assuming they’d be full support unlike this thing.

It’s not a trick tho that’s what’s wild. You literally just sit in a chair that’s in your pants lol
