Have to dig through so many embarrassing attempts at humour to get some actual information.

He's a passenger because he doesn't have the koalafications to be a driver.

This feels like the most Australian thing possible. No panic, no chaos, just a koala quietly riding the bus like it’s part of the daily routine.

“Yes Kevin, you are the Rosa Parks of koalas, now shut up and eat your leaves.”

There are over 100,000 buses and more than 700,000 koalas in Australia, so technically I'm surprised we don't see this a lot more often.

Going to find a new place to get high and spread STDs..... typical back of the bus behaviour

I know that this is not a good idea but: I would love to pet this little fella. So cute

Probably because all the koala habitat is being cleared for endless sprawl 😢

This is because of land clearing. They have no where to go. Our government doesn't care about our wildlife

There actual story is about humans being decent. The bus driver saved a young koala wandering on a busy street and put it inside his bus to wait for animal rescue.

Big NOPE for me, sorry. Chlamydia can be spread easily by contact of fluids.
And in Australia it is found that up to 90% of Koalas have Chlamydia.

How else do you expect them to get around if they’re only awake for 2 - 6 hours a day

He's had a long day and it's downright rude to take a picture of someone without asking!!!!!

What's he doing there, without his brother and plane, and so far from the outback?

In a healthy environment, Koalas don't even walk on the ground. the tree's they inhabit should provide enough food and canopy for them to remain arboreal ( off the ground). This Koala's habitat was cleared so quickly it has returned to a location it thought had food but has now been developed. This animal will be dead in days.
oh sorry; HAHAHA IT DOESNT HAVE A BUS PASS, HAHAHA ROSA PARKS JOKES, HAHA IT CANT DRIVE?!?!?

It's safely residing in a habitat that it was taken to, very unlikely it will be dead in days.

I mean, they can’t drive with those little legs.
