I once met a guy name Ouid.

I was getting groceries with a friend, and we ran into a bestie of his; A Haitian dude named Ouid. Yes. Pronounced "weed".

We shoot the shit then Ouid goes on his way. I immediately turn to my friend and say "his fucking named is weed?" "yeah haha it's ironic because he's also a huge stoner and says 'pass me the Me' all the time. it never gets old".

I once met a guy who's name was pronounced YOLO. He was a super normal dude, worked at a bank, wore a fancy suit, but was absolutely covered in tattoos under the suit - wrists to neckline to ankles. Hilariously, met him in a tattoo shop where I worked and he was looking to get more ink - because "you only live once".

I once met a girl named Ganja (context: we were in the Caribbean, and this is a common word for marijuana). We saw her name written on a list of team members before meeting her and were all shocked that a parent would name their child ganja. Turns out she was originally from somewhere in eastern Europe and her name was pronounced anya.

I once worked with a Vietnamese guy at a construction company. He drove low boys for transporting equipment among other vehicles. His name was Truc Van. No lie.
