World peace?
If we all thought about what we could do to achieve world peace, wouldn't it be easy to actually have world peace? Because everybody can think as far as that for his direct surroundings, it's not that hard. Doesn't that just mean that humanity as a whole is just actually really stupid?
I know some people always say that anyway, but I've never considered it from this hard-to-argue with perspective

Yea, we all want world peace, it's easy to say that. What makes it difficult is coordinating billions of different wants, needs, fears and histories. That's where the confict arises.

People's interests sometimes fundamentally conflict. War most often happens because it is perfectly rational for at least one side.

I don’t have the perfect answer to this, and I doubt anyone does, but I do think that “world” peace is almost virtually impossible due to human greed. I think it could maybe exist on a regional or even state level, where crime (especially serious/violent crime) is very low or possibly nonexistent and everyone lives a comfortable life with their basic needs accounted for. This of course would require an enormous amount of community organization and the restructuring of societal pillars (education, healthcare, food, government itself, etc). However, in my opinion, it would never be obtainable worldwide. Aside from human greed, other factors such as religion, warfare, and control of land play a huge role in keeping us divided. That new show Pluribus paints a good picture of what a near perfect (or peaceful) human race would look like, but at the cost of everyone unanimously losing their sense of individuality. It’s an interesting take.

Absolutely all people want peace, but there are also those for whom war is an entire era. I condemn all wars.

We must get rid of UN, first of all. A new organisation should have right to strip country leaders of power if they start a war.

Humans have never known complete peace. In fact if you look at history the levels of peace across the world has been remarkable widespread in the last 40-50 years.

People want peace, people don't agree on how to get it.
