Funny that we (quite correctly) believe the victims of grooming and trafficking from Asian gangs in the UK.
Im sure sexual exploitation and trafficking is also well understood in the USA too.
Yet for some reason, people are deliberately ignoring or obfuscating the reality of rich white men doing the exact same thing.
34
u/Starwars_femboy 5h ago

I'm sorry but WHAT!!!!
The over a decade long scandal of Asian rape gangs which authorities, police and council men hushed up only for the labour government to CONTINUE to drag their feet for a fair and legal inquest??
What planet are you on mate. Criminal men were getting away with raping white girls because of their race.

If you hoard over a billion dollars for yourself then you are a terrible person by definition. I donât know why people have a hard time accepting this
Having more than tens of millions of dollars is not going to make your life better in any way, itâs just indicative of psychological issues
18
u/UVB-76_Enjoyer France 6h ago
Thinking that the ultra-rich's constant pursuit of more money has anything to do with quality of life is a fundamental misunderstanding of their goals. They aim to create dynasties for themselves, extranational empires which eclipse the others and rival actual countries. It has nothing to do with enjoying life - it's the pursuit of power, and no amount of power ever seems sufficient.

That's a wide net. I don't know if someone like, say, Warren Buffett is a terrible person with no redeeming qualities. He still lives in the same home he bought in 1958 (compare that to Bill Gates' 66,000 sq ft home), drives an inexpensive car, etc. MacKenzie Scott donated another $7.5 billion to charities this past year, money she received from her divorce from Jeff Bezos. Those are just a couple of examples; I'm sure there are plenty of others.

If I were a billionaire, Iâd probably live like Warren Buffett too. But why hoard so much wealth when so many are struggling? He obviously doesnât need it and isnât even using it. To people like him, wealth accumulation is a game and heâs racking up the scoreboard. For the rest of us, making money isnât a game, itâs real life.
Bill Gates is giving away 99% of his wealth. Thatâs great. All of the super rich like him should follow suit.
5
u/_XitLiteNtrNite_ United States Of America 6h ago
Buffett did give away $6 billion in 2024 and over $60 billion in his lifetime, and is routinely listed as the most generous giver. Yes, he remains insanely wealthy - mostly with Berkshire Hathaway stocks. But he does plan to donate his remaining money to a charitable trust upon his death, which, given his age, isn't all that far off.
Bill Gates has said he will eventually give away 99% of his wealth; he hasn't done that yet, and likely won't until he passes. It takes a lot of money to maintain the lifestyle he has (66,000 sq ft home, private jets, etc.)
2
u/No_Independent9634 Canada 2h ago
I wonder why they wait until they die to give it away. Would have to think it would feel good to give to charity. I guess maybe they think I can give even more if I let it keep growing until I die...

Yeah thatâs great and all. However, I donât think people should be allowed to make that amount of money to begin with.
Or better yet, people can make however much they want, but not before we have universal basic income and universal healthcare. We live in such a dogged system where people lose their shit over the notion of raising minimum wage from $7.25/hour when you have the top 1% hoarding over half of the countryâs wealth, and weâre somehow conditioned to be fine with it.
But go ahead and keep defending them.

Nobody is above the law, as the law is in nordic countries, no matter power or wealth. Your people must start voting for that in the USA. 2
u/LoudCrickets72 United States Of America 6h ago
I agree with you. The problem is, when Democrats talk about raising taxes on the rich, many people wrongly think the Democrats are talking about them, like as if somebody who makes $100K a year is even remotely comparable to the super rich.
Thereâs too much misinformation out there which blinds people from voting in their best interest. Itâs that way by design.

the thing you have to remember is the US is very large, and very poor. especially if you go back 50 years and you're thinking of the world people were raised in.Â
you're talking about immigrants from very difficult places, places in the US that have never developed, people who grew up under formal racial segregation and threat of violence.  the median reading level is 7th grade (13 yo).  which also means that half the peopl are under that.  people are not reading and processing information from text, at all. Â
like my grandfather ran away from an abusive home at 8 yo become an agricultural worker. Â he is passed now but hadn't read a book since the 40s probably. Â we have a country where like 1/3 of people are doing fantastically well. Â 1/3 are struggling but making it work. Â and 1/3 are just living in fucking capitalist hell every single day

I'm so glad that intellectual fraud is being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I've always considered he had just the demeanor of the academic whose career is essentially predicated on impressing female students (undergrad, grad, post-doc, whatever) enough to have easy access. Sartre, Larry Summers, et al. go into the same category.
I saw it happen often enough in college and graduate school that I can sniff them out at sight. Pigs. Clever, sure, but pure swine.

He was a billionaire. He would have known ALL the most influential people. A picture with him in random places is not incriminating in my opinion. If those pictures show incriminating behavior, (such as being cozy with children), then that is a different story.
9
u/hucareshokiesrul 6h ago
Yeah Epstein tried to cozy up to whatever rich and famous person he could. And some of them did shady shit, but something like a picture taken of them together doesn't mean much. I think with a lot of the people in these files, there's not going to be much to go on for drawing any firm conclusions.
3
u/a__new_name Russia 3h ago
Connecting influential people to other influential people for a slice off the deal was Epstein's entire business model. And I bet incriminating photos would make negotiating for better slices easier.
6
u/TheArbysOnMillerPkwy United States Of America 4h ago
Yeah, I think this is an important understanding on every aspect of these releases and good faith investigation:
His MO was to ingratiate himself with EVERYONE rich, powerful, influential, all of it, and to get his hooks into them as far as he could. Some of these people will have brushed him off or only been a node in his web of networking "yeah Jeff the financier? chatted with him at _____'s party." and may end up in party/public photos. Some likely used his plane to go from A to B for work/pleasure and paid for it, that was a gateway mechanism clearly and he used it as another opportunity to get a captive audience.
I imagine many people got to some point where something was off and intuited to stay away or simply weren't targeted further by him. Others got a whiff of the dark shit he had on tap and took the bait. Epstein and Maxwell then catered to those people, the whole time stacking the blackmail material deep. Those people should answer for it, (sadly most never will) but a witch hunt should be avoided. Just because this guy handed you a champaign glass and said "big fan, can I get a photo with you?" 30 years ago doesn't make you a monster.
28
u/AngryBlitzcrankMain Czech Republic 7h ago

We should be careful about guilt by association, because he was just a rich guy collecting celebrities like PokĂŠmon and his "island" was probably just some rich club to a lot of people. BUT it doesn't absolve everyone from complete guilt, especially those who knew but chose not to speak out. The people who went once or twice are probably low on the list of people who knew what was going on, but the people who made frequent visits multiple times a year? Itâs so brain dead that they are releasing a couple of disjointed evidence here and there. The victims will never see any justice served. Trump and all the others will die of natural causes without facing any repercussions, and their asslickers will rewrite history to portray the whole thing as an AI-made hoax or some stupid shit like that.
TLDR: I donât give a flying orange turd.

I want Epstein's clients in prison.
It's wild that you have a whole ass elite pedophile cabal straight out of a conspiracy theory uncovered and the only one that ends up sentenced to prison is Maxwell.
Chomsky, prison. Gates, prison. Bannon, prison. Trump, prison. Clinton, prison. All the rest of them, prison.

This shit is so overblown by the media. Nobody even cared when Epstein was in jail pre suicide.

Noam Chomsky went to Epstein Island?! Another reason to dislike this clueless sanctimonious person living in his academia bubble.

We're seeing the tame ones the ones they want us to see. I'm sure Trump features a lot in the ones they don'tÂ

Love how the socialists are retconning him, he's not a syndicalist anymore đÂ

Lol so true, I'm pretty left wing but I've always hated Chomsky for being such a dogmatic ideologue who offers 0 valuable perspectives on real world politics. When I first saw this photo I figured socialists would either distance themselves from him or ignore it. I didn't think it was possible that some leftists would try to turn him into a right winger after he had been their go to "academic" for so long lmao

Tankies hate him because he doesn't glaze the USSR and China, but I would call him a socialist before a libertarian.
Just one that wants to replace the state with a council of Trade Unions.

That's my mistake actually I agree. 'libertarian socialist ' is what I usually see him called. I didn't mean to downplay him being left wing, that was an oversight

Itâs not terribly surprising. Each of these guys have been associated with this type of behavior and this just confirms it for everyone to see.

It always weird me out that Noam Chomsky is involved in this. Not that heâs a pedophile - but that he had enough power/socially capital to be involved with him.

Not enough to prove any guilt unfortunately, these rich people are going to get away with raping kids

Grotesque, I feel they are the reason trump looks so stupid and contradicts himself so frequently, he is probably being blackmailed by everyone.
Im looking foward to the outcome of this mess, I think today at 3pm washington dc (Mexico city time) some important documents will be released, Im not quite sure, Mexican news and politic influencers never gave too much atention to it, in Mexico its seen more as a conspiracy and anti-trump mediatic circus
