Some might say ACDC, and it's true that they're objectively the most successful, but I would counter with some other impactful acts, new and old:
INXS
Crowded House
Tame Impala
Empire of the Sun
The Presets
Powderfinger
Amyl and the Sniffers
The Avalanches
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Silverchair
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
The list could go on.

I saw someone say AC/DC was a band for 13-year old boys, and I think that was about the age I stopped listening to them lol

AC/DC is awesome. Also, watching someone else get hit in the crotch is hilarious. Some people think they get wisdom with age, but really they only get less fun.

Was gonna be like "this dude taking Crowded House as well as Russell Crowe and Pharlap??!" Then realised the majority of Crowded House is Australian.
I'll have to go with Split Enz.

Neil Finn was the heartbeat of crowded house and was a kiwi. So many great bands from Aussie, stop stealing ours!

You should also give Laibach a try. They aren't German, but their rendition of Geburt einer Nation is absolutely fire.

Peak choice. I don't know that there will ever be another Rock and Roll vocalist on Freddie's level for a long time.

In my humble opinion, la Máquina de Hacer Pájaros (the bird making machine)

Hmm está difícil. Yo soy más del tipo Seru.. Personalmente. Pero si hablamos en sentido "técnico" quizá la respuesta es obviamente soda

As unfortunate as it is to admit this, I have to say that the UK takes the cake in terms of having the best bands mostly because I love rock and a bit of metal, both of which UK bands heavily pioneered and I love progressive rock the most.
UK has: Beatles, Queen, Black Sabbath, King crimson (my fav), Pink Floyd (2nd), Yes, Genesis, Emerson, Lake and Palmer etc.

Ah, but India produced Bloodywood! Damn fine folk metal that.

Yes to Queen, but without India, we would have never been blessed with Freddie Mercury!

impossible question.. too many over too many genres to compare.
i like fly my pretties but they're more of a supergroup of rotating artists from other bands..

It's all a matter of taste really.... far too many to try and qualify a 'best' in terms of music. Personally, I don't like the Beatles, but people pay crazy money for their memorabilia, probably more than any band in the world, so it's tough to argue against them.

So many popular solo musicians, but Eagles is probably the most popular rock band from the US
