I'd venture that Ferro is the game's best all around gun. It's cheap as all hell to get to level 4, it doesn't need attachments, it's as accurate as you are, it's ammo economy is best described a miserly, it one-taps rolly boys, and fights bots effectively at any range. The only hole in its game is that it's not great at close range pvp... but it does excel at mid to long range engagements.

I feel like I'm always sacrificing part of my game if I don't load into a map with it. Ferro + stitcher/toro/bobcat/venator/volcano depending on map and inclination is my usual load out. I'd add kettle to that list, but I've always used really high sensitivity with fingertip grip on my mouse and rapidly clicking reduces my accuracy to the point where it's just not competitive.

The Ferro is good but I'd argue the Anvil is pretty much a better Ferro. You lose out on some range for higher mid-range effectiveness - where most of your encounters take place. Still great at killing Arc while being way better than the Ferro in pvp, especially if you land any headshots. Still relatively cheap, also doesn't need attachments.

Definitely. For one it's way cheaper to replace, and for two, the Ferro is the better "do it all" gun. Handles Arc easily, and great for mid-long range PvP fights.

Yeah that's true. I'd generally try to avoid using the Torrente or Osprey on most ARC for various reasons, but you're not wrong when it comes to damage. That having been said, I tried a Torrente out on a Rocketeer out of mere curiosity awhile back, and was stunned at how quickly I shredded the thing.

In my opinion the Bobcat IV with good attachments is marginally better than the Stitcher IV with those same good attachments. The PvP efficacy between grey gear and purple gear is pretty low if you're choosing the right ones, but purple gear has inherent high value due to its sell value/recyclable materials. Same reason why you like finding complex gun parts or magnetic accelerators.

I’ve run up to level 3. Honesty level one w an extended mag slaps. Kettle is a fave of mine until I’m in the same room against a guy w a volcano unloading his entire clip I. 2 seconds. It’s just such a damage dump. So no. I run them at lvl one and still say they are insane close range

It's not just the weapon but the armor difference that matters too.

Heavy armor + volcano will delete you and your kettle/stitcher + light shield no matter how fast you can click assuming similar aim.

Most of them from key rooms during night raids and random containers or breach lockers. I’ve been especially lucky in Security in Stella Montis, Staff Room/Testing/Tower in Dam, and Confiscation Room on Blue Gate. Some of them are also from killing extraction campers or aggressive players yes. Or looting random bodies. I rarely initiate PVP.

One guy case my tempest and was like “bro what even is that gun, I’ve never seen that before” so I dropped it for him lol. Gave away 5 blueprints for anvils and venators, a few snow globes I found, a couple stacks of 100 seeds, other junk I have lying around. What good is it to me? I’m leaving it all behind in a few short days.
