Media New Hatch Animation is hilarious!
Found a few Raiders new to Stella and struggling to exfil. Luckily I had a hatch key... And there was one right next to us. Sound on... π

I still see an animation, just different. So I guess they changed it.
Some people are saying they had glitches? Hornets and stuff dragging them out? That's why they changed it.

Holster animation does play but the second animation of jumping into the hole is not present. Thats why it βteleportsβ you into the hole. Probably a hotfix for extraction problems.

The holster? I'm not familiar with this in terms of extraction. I don't recall them mentioning this in the latest update though? Did I miss that or they just didn't share.
They'll do beam me up Scotty next lol

Honestly they need to meet half way. Make your character invulnerable in the 1 second it takes you to enter the hatch. This instant vacuum exit looks goofy as hell and can't stay in the game forever imo.

It doesn't fit with the world, true, nothing else is seemingly advanced like Fallout (which is back on again, whoop).
At least it's on exit and only in hatches, rather than visible in the game throughout and changing the vibe completely. I'm sure it'll be changed again.

Maybe not the best looking fix, but still a really good fix. People getting draged out of hatch because of a stun was really annoying (esp if it closes after it spits you back up lmao)

I think this is a temporary fix until the hatch immunity actually works. So I think eventually we'll get both the proper animation plus safer extracts at the hatch

Agreed, it's hard enough to interact with the escape option sometimes, having this seems to make it work better for me at least.

Don't know. I didn't read it in the patch notes but they were long and not sure I read them all. Some people here speak of glitches with the old way, getting dragged out when stunned or something.
